One of the goals of the SBHRF is to provide a home for old Seal Beach newspapers, and them to digitize them and make them available to all.
This week we are adding two early issues of the Seal Beach Surf and Sun – a paper started in 1960 by Jerry Brockman, the owner of Brock’s Drugs at the corner of Main and Electric, a space now occupied by Bistro St. Germaine, the Abbey and the other stores south of the alley.
We are also uploading an edition of The Mariner.
We hope you enjoy these:
Seal Beach Surf & Sun – Vol 1, No 2 – July 28, 1960
Seal Beach Surf & Sun – Vol. 1, No 3 – August 04, 1960
The Mariner – Vol 1, No 3 – May 20, 1965
