Linda Stauffer

Linda Stauffer, Treasurer

Linda Stauffer retired after a 33-year career in education, where she worked as an elementary and middle school teacher, mentor and master teacher, in-service trainer, parent trainer, program facilitator, curriculum writer, and assistant principal in the Long Beach Unified School District. In addition, she also served as co-director of the CSULB- South Basin Writing Project, chaired the Young Writers Conference and coordinated many weekend and evening educational events for youth and adults alike. Special recognitions include English Teacher of the Year from the English Council of Long Beach) and selection as an original Master Teacher in a pilot program creating a University Teacher Demonstration Program.

Linda is married, has four adult children, one grandchild, and several rescue dogs. She enjoys travel (especially road trips) the theater, and photography. She was born in Long Beach and has lived in LB, Lakewood, and Cerritos before moving to Seal Beach. She received her BA in history and M.Ed in Educational Administration. She fancies herself as an amateur history buff of the Long Beach-Seal Beach area and collects vintage postcards of LB and SB from the early 1900s.
