Today is the 91st anniversary of the Long Beach Earthquake which, not surprisingly also did a lot of damage to neighboring Seal Beach, knocking a number of houses off their foundations, and sending many people fleeing a potential tsunami to the crests of The Hill and some fled even further inland. TODAY IN SB HISTORY: 1945 – 1st Seal Beach Lions Fish Fry
the Seal Beach Lions Club hosts their first "fish fry" dinner on Wednesday evening, Aug 22 in the sunroom by the pier from 6pm - 7:30pm. This will be the first community gathering since the attack on Pearl Harbor. The food will be cooked by chefs from Sam's Seafood. Tickets cost $1.03.
